ZOOMBIES, The Asylum's animal zombie flick, has already come to life on DVD, but you and I both know a film like this belongs on TV. Luckily, the Fuse network knows it too, and they've set ZOOMBIES for a world television premiere on Friday, May 13th, the same day as Ben Wheatley's HIGH-RISE and Greg McLean's THE DARKNESS

ZOOMBIES will premiere at 10PM, kicking off a "Scary AF" marathon that includes TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D, THE DEVIL'S TOMB, 247º, PATHOLOGY, and VAMPIRE BATS. I'm not sure I'd stick around for the rest, but ZOOMBIES seems like it might actually be pretty fun. Check out the trailer below!

Directed by Glenn R. Miller from a screenplay by Scotty Mullen, here's the plot of ZOOMBIES:

Just days before the Eden Wildlife Zoo’s grand reopening, a monkey begins exhibiting signs of a strange virus that makes the animal extremely aggressive. When an effort to save the monkey fails, it returns to life as a zombie monkey, killing its handlers and biting and freeing the other monkeys. As the freshly-zombified animals attack the other exhibits, the whole zoo becomes overrun with undead creatures, and the few zookeepers left alive have a terrifying realization: they must stop the outbreak before the creatures reach the birds of prey exhibit – if the birds become zombified and escape, they will threaten the world as we know it.

Marcus Anderson, Kaiwi Lyman, and Kim Nielsen star.
