The Demolisher Gabriel Carrer

It's been a while since we last heard an update on director Gabriel Carrer's revenge thriller THE DEMOLISHER, which we shared the trailer for back in February of 2015. Thankfully, the long period of silence has been broken by some great news – MPI Media Group will be releasing THE DEMOLISHER on Digital HD, DVD, and Blu-ray on October 4th.

Starring Ry Barrett, Tianna Nori, Jessica Vano, and Duncan McLellan, the "surreal and hyper-stylistic" film tells the following story:

Tormented by a crippling sense of responsibility for his disabled wife, Samantha, an ex-policewoman, seemingly ordinary cable repairman Bruce channels his sense of injustice into a dark path of vigilantism. Donning riot gear and taking to the streets to right the seemingly infinite number of wrongs committed every day, Bruce becomes The Demolisher, a one-man wrecking ball tearing through a neon-lit city blighted by crime and hatred.

As his tenuous grasp on reality weakens with each foray into the urban decay that surrounds him, Bruce's rage eventually reaches a boiling point that may cost him his own life as well as the lives of the innocent he thought he was protecting.

With a vigilante kicking ass in a cool outfit on neon-lit streets, this looks and sounds just like the sort of film I would love to watch. It's good to hear that its release is less than a month away; I will definitely be keeping an eye out for it.
