Genre regular Kyle Gallner the latest name to join the Beautiful Creatures

How are you guys feeling about this upcoming adaptation of the young-adult novel BEAUTIFUL CREATURES? I mean since THE TWILIGHT SAGA made all kinds of money it feels like we have to keep our guard up with anything dubbed 'young adult,' no? And BEAUTIFUL CREATURES is no different.

Well for now we're still going to roll with the supernatural love story and today we've got some more casting news for the flick to tell you about. According to Variety genre regular Kyle Gallner is the latest name to sign on for the adaptation. The actor (right) will be playing 'Larkin,' the younger brother of Emmy Rossum's character whom she casts a spell on.

BEAUTIFUL CREATURES is set in the South about two star-crossed teenage lovers - a local boy, and a mysterious new girl who uncover dark secrets about their families, their history and their town.

Along with Gallner and Rossum the Richard LaGravenese film will also star Alden Ehrenreich, Alice Englert, Viola Davis, Emma Thompson, Jeremy Irons, Thomas Mann, Zoey Deutch (below), Margo Martindale and Rachel Brosnahan. BEAUTIFUL CREATURES, which hits theaters on February 1, 2013, is currently filming in New Orleans so expect more updates from this one soon.
