Godzilla 2 sets June 2018 release date

That’s right, kids, you’re going to have to wait four years until your next GODZILLA fix. Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have marked June 8, 2018 for the big boy’s return to cinemas.

Gareth Edwards is confirmed to return to the director’s chair for the sequel, which will see Godzilla fighting infamous nemeses Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah (or at least one or two of them). Edwards will first direct a STAR WARS spinoff for Disney before he collaborates with Godzilla again, but seems like four years should be enough time to get both accomplished.

GODZILLA has so far made over $500 million at the worldwide box office; it’s due to come out on Blu-ray September 16th.
