Good news for Sundance genre flick The Pact, Content has sold it internationally to Entertainment One plus more

Last month we heard that IFC Midnight had acquired Sundance genre flick THE PACT for North American distribution. The film has now acquired international distribution with One Entertainment, along with a bunch of others.

One Entertainment will cover the UK, Australian and New Zealand, Ascot Elite will cover Germany, Switzerland and Austria, Klockworx will cover Japan, Playarte will cover Brazil, EEAP will cover CIS, Baltic States, Bulgaria, Ex-Yugoslavia, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Romania, Gulf Film will cover the Middle East, Lusomundo will cover Portugal and Medyavizyon will cover Turkey.

The film is actually based on a Sundance short from last year by Nicholas McCarthy, he wrote and directed the feature length version. It is one of the first films to actually have done this, pretty impressive in my books. I am looking forward to checking this one out!

THE PACT follows sisters Nicole and Annie who reluctantly return to their childhood home when their mother passes away to pay their last respects. While staying overnight in the house, the sisters sense a mysterious presence in their midst: noises startling them in the night, objects moving about, a fallen picture of an unknown woman posed next to their mother. Annie begins experiencing a series of intense and disturbing dreams visions that lead her to uncover something terrible about her mother’s past that is finally revealing itself.

The film stars Caity Lotz, Casper Van Dien, Haley Hudson, Kathleen Rose Perkins, Sam Ball, and Agnes Bruckner (below).

Hopefully for North America, IFC announces something for the film soon.

Extra Tidbit: Nice to see Casper Van Dien doing something like this, way to go dude!
