Grace, Elfman, Dillahunt seen in new Fear the Walking Dead images

Fear the Walking Dead Garret Dillahunt

Yesterday, we shared the first images of The Walking Dead character Morgan Jones (Lennie James) making his crossover into the world of Fear the Walking Dead, and now we have another batch of images that feature some new characters who will be introduced in Fear's upcoming fourth season.

These characters are Maggie Grace as Althea, Garret Dillahunt as John, and Jenna Elfman as Naomi.

Entertainment Weekly posted the images with comments from Fear the Walking Dead's new showrunners Ian Goldberg and Andrew Chambliss. About the new characters, they said

Althea is someone who is uniquely qualified to survive — to thrive, even — in this world because of who she was before the apocalypse. When we meet her, we'll find she has, in many ways, picked up right where she left off before the world collapsed. She has a number of impressive weapons in her arsenal, including a curiosity and understanding of people that often gives her a tactical advantage. It's never something for nothing with Althea. She has a greater purpose that she is constantly working toward; one which Strand takes a particular interest in.

John is a man of fascinating contradictions. He loves people but has spent a great deal of time on his own. He’s a gentle soul — an innocent in many ways — but is no stranger to violence. He can be soft-spoken and disarmingly funny all at once.

Naomi's a capable survivor we'll meet living on her own early on in the season. She'll have her guard up as she crosses paths with Madison and her family, and — as we'll learn over the course of the season — she'll have a very good reason for keeping people at a distance. Even so, she'll end up developing some connections that surprise her, including a bond with Alicia."

James, Grace, Elfman, and Dillahunt join a returning cast that includes Kim Dickens, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Frank Dillane, Colman Domingo, Ruben Blades, and Ray McKinnon. I'm looking forward to seeing these new characters in action.

A premiere date for Fear the Walking Dead season 4 has not been announced yet, but the second half of its companion series The Walking Dead's eighth season starts airing on AMC on February 25th. James is still on that show as well, playing Morgan years down the line from where the character will be on Fear.
