Horror @ the Box Office: Feb 17-19 – Ghost Rider fails to ignite the competition and audiences

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Once again Happy Monday folks, hope you all had a great weekend! Did you get a chance to see anything on the big screen?

Chances are if you did, you might have been checking out SAFE HOUSE, last week’s number 2 actually made it to the top spot. THE VOW which won last week, slipped down to 2nd position. So where does that leave this week’s big release of GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE?

The film got to number 3, and it made less than half of what the first film made on its opening weekend (the same weekend back in ’07). Audiences weren’t much in the mood for the Rider, and judging by the really poor reviews perhaps they should have left this one on the thinking room floor.

Not much else to report, our genre releases CHRONICLE, THE WOMAN IN BLACK and THE GREY are still in the Top 10. Bringing in some pocket change, as they will probably leave the Top 10 by next week or the week after. Coming this Friday is the Amanda Seyfried serial killer vehicle GONE.
