Hunger Games: Catching Fire warms up to cutie Stephanie Leigh Schlund

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

I thought Cashmere was a name strictly reserved for hookers and strippers.

Apparently not, as we ad nauseam continue the casting coverage of HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE. New to the flames is Stephanie Leigh Schlund (seen), set to play Cashmere, a former career tribute from District 1, who along with brother Gloss, played by Alan Ritchson, compete in the Quarter Quell.

Gloss? The Quarter Quell? Cashmere? Yeah, these books are only making kids stupider, I’m convinced. Joke’s on us though obviously, you know, for being complicit in perpetuating such silliness.

Anyway, this Schlund gal (that German?) will also be seen this fall in the new Kevin Williamson series “The Following.” CATCHING FIRE starts production next month for a November 22, 2013 release.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

Jennifer Lawrence, Alan Ritchson, Bruno Gunn, Maria Howell, E. Roger Mitchell, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Amanda Plummer, Jena Malone, Lynn Cohen, Patrick St. Esprit, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks and Woody Harrelson also star.
