Tom Holland is one man who has created some of my favorite genre films. I
grew up on movies such as CHILD’S PLAY, FRIGHT NIGHT and even the series “Tales
From The Crypt”. Fright Night had such an intense impact on me that I was sure
my neighbor was a vampire… or maybe just a religious nut… hard to tell which.
Hell, the man even made a silly doll scary. He recently did work within the
world of “Masters of Horror” and he returns with something new and exciting for
the genre crowd.

TOM TALKS CHILD’S PLAY & PSYCHO 2

TOM TALKS FRIGHT NIGHT & HOLLYWOOD

Both he and Strike.TV have teamed up and brought you the creepy short flick called
5 OR DIE (which you can watch at the end of this story) which debuted last week and is a must see.
With all the spam hitting the world wide web it is an eerie take on the chain e-mail that seems to always find it‘s way into your in-box on the computer. This is a short film that is utterly creepy while being shot on an ultra low-budget by a skilled director.

A while back, my cameraman and I stopped by Mr. Holland’s place to chat movies. Here, Tom talks about the business of show and how much it has changed.

In this three part interview, Tom discusses the reunion of the cast of FRIGHT NIGHT. He talks about tackling a sequel to PSYCHO as a writer. And of course, he lets us in on his work in CHILD’S PLAY and why you did not find him on the commentary for the recent release. Mr. Holland is a very intelligent man and has some wonderful insight into the business of making movies. I especially recommend taking a look at all three parts for anyone with an interest in filmmaking, Mr. Holland has a whole lot of knowledge to offer.
