Jonathan Rhys Meyers talks NBC's Dracula

This Friday, October 25th, we'll finally get to see NBC's take on the iconic character of Dracula in their upcoming series. In anticipation of its premiere NBC has released a new featurette that gives us a look at Jonathan Rhys Meyers' Dracula as he discusses the titular character. I've said this before, but I really like the casting of Meyers and how he looks to have portrayed the most famous of vampires. If you need something to hold you over until the big day, give the below video a watch—I think you'll dig it!

Golden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers ("The Tudors") stars in this provocative new one-hour drama as one of the world's most iconic characters. It's the late 19th century, and the mysterious Dracula has arrived in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. He's especially interested in the new technology of electricity, which promises to brighten the night - useful for someone who avoids the sun. But he has another reason for his travels: He hopes to take revenge on those who cursed him with immortality centuries earlier. Everything seems to be going according to plan... until he becomes infatuated with a woman who appears to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.

"Dracula" stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Jessica De Gouw, Thomas Kretschmann, Katie McGrath and Nonso Anozie. Other cast members include Victoria Smurfit as Lady Jayne Wetherby, Ben Miles as Mr. Browning, and Robert Bathurst as Lord Thomas Davenport.

The 10-episode series is paired with "Grimm" on Friday nights and will premiere at 10pm this Friday, October 25th.
