Joseph Gordon-Levitt looks badass in these two new stills from Looper

Even though we haven’t heard a lot about Rian Johnson’s upcoming film LOOPER, I am pretty excited for it! The filmmaker blew me away with BRICK and the fact that he’s tackling sci-fi just seems like the perfect fit.

He compared the film to THE TERMINATOR, saying it was the closest parallel he could draw and you know what, just that has me sold! Speaking of being sold on the film, the two new stills that have shown up should also sell you on the film. They both feature star Joseph Gordon Levitt and he looks like a straight up badass! In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination.

Levitt stars alongside Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, Piper Perabo (below), and Jeff Daniels. It will hit screens on September 28th!
