“Justified” star Natalie Zea cast in Kevin Williamson untitled “cult” series

From one Natalie Zea story to another? Weirdo…

Moments ago we let you know about the release of INSIGHT, the Natalie Zea starring horror-show from Phase 4 Films. Now it looks like the Texan stunner is moving from one TV show to another…but definitely staying in genre!

Deadline has it that Zea (pictured) has been cast in Kevin Williamson’s untitled serial-killer-cult series setup at Fox. Before we specify her role, relive the synopsis:

The project, from Warner Bros TV, is described as an edge-of-the-seat thriller about Joe Carroll (Purefoy) a diabolical serial killer who uses technology to create a cult of serial killers, and retired FBI profiler Ryan Hardy (Bacon) who finds himself in the middle of it.

Word is Zea will play Claire Matthews, Carroll’s ex-wife who finds herself in the middle of a nightmare when he escapes from prison.

Sounds like a hardy role to sink her teeth into. Of course working alongside Bacon and Purefoy can only hone her craft…hopefully she ups her game and, with the help of Williamson’s writing, can give us a strong female character worth tuning into each week. She’s done so opposite Tim Olyphant in “Justified,” has she not?

More as we hear it, but in the meantime, let’s help Fox out with a title. Why not just call the shite “Cults”? I can dig it…
