On tap for ya this morning we have the trailer for Karen Leigh Hopkins' vigilante thriller MISS MEADOWS, which stars Katie Holmes as the most unlikely badass in recent memory. Yep, watching this trailer I was quite shocked to see Holmes entering a new realm by playing a vigilante and I'm not quite sure what I think of it. You can judge for yourself if she'll be convincing enough to pull it off by checking out the trailer below. Hey, she could surprise us all! Who knows?

The film, which debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival, features Holmes as a sweet, inspirational grade school teacher who does a little vigilante justice on the side. The flick is set to hit limited theaters on November 14. It's very weird seeing Holmes tackling this kind of role, but the trailer is intriguing enough to make me wanna know more.

The film also stars James Badge Dale and Callan Mulvey.

Prim schoolteacher Miss Meadows (Katie Holmes) is not entirely what she appears. Well-mannered, sweet, and caring, yes, but underneath the candy-sweet exterior hides the soul of a vigilante, taking it upon herself to right the wrongs in this cruel world by whatever means necessary. Things get complicated, however, when Miss Meadows gets romantically entangled with the town sheriff (James Badge Dale) and her steadfast moral compass is thrown off, begging the question: "Who is the real Miss Meadows and what is she hiding?"
