Kevin Williamson opens up a bit about his upcoming serial killer series The Following

One upcoming show that hasn't really sold me yet is Kevin Williamson's "The Following." Sure I'm a fan of Kevin Williamson's... and Kevin Bacon's for that matter.. but I just can't get excited for this one. Hopefully that changes soon.

If you need a little more convincing on "The Following" as well then luckily IGN have your back. Kevin Williamson recently chatted it up with the site and let loose a bunch of new info regarding the genre series. Check out a bit of what he said:

"I think it was what he [Kevin Bacon] wanted to do. I think he was drawn to this kind of material. Now that I’ve gotten to know him a little bit better, I understand that this is exactly his type of stuff, it’s up his alley. He likes this type of TV. He likes the thrillers, he likes the roller coaster ride. I think he enjoys the project in addition to playing just the FBI guy."

"I don’t want to give anything away, but it does seem to stretch from coast to coast, to some degree. We’re dealing with a man who, while he was in prison, the first thing they discover is that he had internet access through a weird, weird chain of events. He never should have had internet access, but he did. And because of that, they don’t know who he was contacting. So that’s kind of the conceit, and that could be anyone in the world."

Still doesn't have me very excited but at least I'm willing to give it a chance. What about you guys? You jiving with "The Following?" Be sure to spit some bullets below and let us know!

"The Following" centers on a diabolical serial killer who uses technology to create a cult of serial killers, and the FBI agent who finds himself in the middle of it.

The show, which is set to hit Fox sometime this Fall, stars Kevin Bacon, James Purefoy, Shawn Ashmore, Natalie Zea and Maggie Grace. We'll of course be on the lookout for any other info on "The Following" as we await it's unannounced premiere.

Extra Tidbit: Natalie Zea (above) can also be found on the hit show "Justified."
