Looper arrives on Blu-ray New Year's Eve with 22 deleted scenes

LOOPER came along and blew pretty much everyone's minds last September. Well, everyone but me-- I didn't make it out to theaters to see it. Not because I didn't want to, but because I was busy constructing a time machine of my own to go back and time and court LOOPER star Piper Perabo back during her COYOTE UGLY days (see below). As you can tell by my confident writing voice, the experiment was a huge success with one drawback-- I'll be forced to snag LOOPER on Blu-ray when it hits shelves December 31st.

For those of you who have seen it and wish to further probe the film's tech noir world, you'll be pleased to know the disc is going to be packed with extra features. I'm talking commentaries, making-ofs, and the grand centerpiece of the collection, 22 deleted scenes. These, we assume, will include the extended Shanghai sequences that were cut for pacing but left in the Chinese cut of the film to appeal to audiences overseas.

Without further ado, check out the specs and artwork below. While you're at it,  close your pre-order loop today!
