Meat Loaf & Douglas Smith set to star in slasher flick Stage Fright for Jerome Sable

Chances are if you're here at AITH then you love slasher flicks. Come on, what horror fan doesn't love slasher flicks? Personally I'm a huge fan of the slasher sub-genre, but I've made that quite clear before. So when news rolls our way on a brand new slasher starring the likes of Meat Loaf... well then you can bet I'm going to tell you about it!

The flick I'm getting at is a little diddy called STAGE FRIGHT, which is coming at us courtesy of Jerome Sable, who is not only the writer and director but will also be composing the music and lyrics alongside Eli Batalion. Variety reports today that both Meat Loaf (right) and Douglas Smith will be starring in STAGE FRIGHT, which is in the vein of Sable's short film THE LEGEND OF BEAVER DAM. Ari Lantos and Jonas Bell Pasht of Serendipity Point Films will produce. Check out the rundown:

STAGE FRIGHT is about a teen who lands a role in a Broadway-bound show. Her joy disappears when the production is terrorized by a masked killer.

Sounds simple and fun, just the way I like my slashers! We'll be on the lookout for more on this potential gem and as soon as we come across any updates we'll be right here to share them.

Extra Tidbit: Meat Loaf's biggest film roles are arguably FIGHT CLUB and THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, the latter of which also starred Susan Sarandon (above).
