It looks like there are going to be a lot of little kids inhabiting the haunted house in Mike Flanagan's 10 episode Netflix series based on the 1959 Shirley Jackson novel The Haunting of Hill House. The last several cast members to be announced have all been youngsters – Mckenna Grace, Violet McGraw, Lulu Wilson, and now newcomers Paxton Singleton (above) and Julian Hilliard. It's unknown who all of these kids will be in the series, as details have only been revealed for one of the show's characters.

That character is Steven Crane, played by Michiel Huisman. Steven is

the oldest Crane sibling and a published writer of supernatural books — including a memoir about his family's time living at Hill House.

According to Deadline, Singleton and Hilliard will both be "series regulars".

In the cast with Huisman and the child actors are Carla Gugino, Henry Thomas, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel, Timothy Hutton, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Victoria Pedretti.

Flanagan's The Haunting of Hill House is said to be a "modern reimagining" of Jackson's novel. The 1963 film THE HAUNTING and its 1999 remake were also based on the novel.
