Great news for J-horror fans! The chilling horror miniseries Crow's Blood, which was created by record producer Yasushi Akimoto and directed by Ryo Nishimura, has been picked up by Miramax! The company now has worldwide sales rights for the series (minus Japan, of course), which was executive produced by Darren Lynn Bousman (SAW II, SAW III, SAW IV).

There's no official date in any territory yet, but fans of J-horror who have been waiting for a solid release should expect news soon.

In Crow's Blood it's been:

20 years since Dolly, the first clone sheep, was born. Since then, cloning medical techniques have advanced considerably and the regeneration of human organs, which was thought to be impossible, has become a reality. In the series, a mysterious transfer student, played by Miyawaki, arrives at an all-girls high school and strange events occur that upend the lives of other students including Watanabe’s sweet-spirited character.

Crow's Blood stars Mayu Watanabe and Sakura Miyawaki, both members of the pop group AKB48.
