It was announced back in August of 2014 that DOG SOLDIERS / THE DESCENT director Neil Marshall would be executive producing the ghost story DARK SIGNAL, a project that largely managed to fly under our radar since then, catching our attention again when it was released on DVD in the UK last year. Now we've found out when the film will be receiving a release in the US, and it's not far off.

Directed by Edward Evers-Swindell from a screenplay he wrote with Antony Jones, DARK SIGNAL shows what happens when

the spirit of a murdered girl returns with a message for the staff of a local radio station.

Judging by the trailer (which can be seen below, along with the poster), this appears to be an intriguing mixture of supernatural shenanigans and violent slashings.

Siwan Morris, Gareth David-Lloyd, Joanna Ignaczewska, Duncan Pow, Eleanor Gecks, Cinzia Monreale, and James Cosmo star in the film, which XLrator Media will be releasing into theatres on June 2nd. A VOD and iTunes release will follow on June 6th.

Being a fan of Marshall's, I'll take a look at anything he's involved with, but DARK SIGNAL looks good enough that I'd check it out even if his name wasn't on it.
