New "egg hatchery" photo from Ridley Scott's Prometheus offers more mystery

Although the specifics of PROMETHEUS have remained a mystery, nothing would be more surprising than to ultimately learn the film sucks. No one expects that to be the case, which is simply one reason we bring you every bit of news for the film (however inconsequential). As you can see above, a new image from Ridley Scott's space-epic has been released, and it shows that oft-seen "egg hatchery" stone-head. Whatever the fuck that is...

With Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron (below) all onboard:

Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

PROMETHEUS crashes into EARTH June 8th.

Extra Tidbit: What do you make of that "stone-head." What role in the film do you think it will play.
