Today brings us the second official photo released from Neill Blomkamp’s sophomore feature, ELYSIUM, which lands in theaters next summer. Not unlike the first pic dished out from the sci-fi epic (seen above), this one displays Matt Damon packing heavy futuristic heat. Scope it out below; pretty badass – but now let’s get a look at some of the other goodies this movie contains, whaddaya say?
Also starring Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, Alice Braga, William Fichtner and Wagner Moura, ELYSIUM has the following synopsis:
In the year 2159, two classes of people exist: the very wealthy, who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Delacourt (Jodie Foster) will stop at nothing to preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium – but that doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in by any means they can. Max (Matt Damon) agrees to take on a life-threatening mission, one that could bring equality to these polarized worlds.
ELYSIUM opens on AUGUST 9, 2013.
