New one sheets for The Collection have a vision

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

I’m one of maybe a handful who really, really dug the shit out of THE COLLECTOR. The Patrick Melton/Marcus Dunston joint took the duo’s knack for SAW-esque traps and fused them into a film noir and home invasion plotline. It was mean, nasty, and uncompromisingly gory. Now I’m pleased to report the sequel, THE COLLECTION, has gotten a new set of posters.

While the domestic poster highlights the titular villain as a new horror hero (ala Jigsaw), I’m more intrigued by the international one-sheet, which gives a nice glimpse of exactly what THE COLLECTION contains. I’m reminded a bit of Leatherface’s folk art in TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, albeit with a little more class. I mean, aside from it being in the medium of dead body parts.

Josh Stewart returns to the franchise as Arkin, the thief who tried to thwart The Collector’s efforts in the first film. The sequel also adds Johanna Braddy, Erin Way, Daniel Sherman, Lee Tergeson and Christopher McDonald with Dunstan back behind the camera. Check out the synopsis and posters below and consider adding the sequel to your viewing collection November 30th.

Arkin escapes with his life from the vicious grips of “The Collector” during an entrapment party where he adds beautiful Elena to his “Collection.” Instead of recovering from the trauma, Arkin is suddenly abducted from the hospital by mercenaries hired by Elena’s wealthy father. Arkin is blackmailed to team up with the mercenaries and track down The Collector’s booby trapped warehouse and save Elena.
