A new adaptation of the classic Stephen King tale PET SEMATARY reaches theatres this weekend, and distributor Paramount wants everyone to know that the early reactions to the film have been very positive. (In fact, our own JimmyO gave it an 8/10 review.) A new trailer has been released online that features quotes from reviews that have called the new PET SEMATARY things like "one of the best Stephen King movies ever" and a "creepy masterpiece".

Directed by STARRY EYES' Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer from a screenplay by HALLOWEEN H20's Matt Greenberg and THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN's Jeff Buhler, this PET SEMATARY stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, Hugo Lavoie, Lucas Lavoie, Jeté Laurence, Obssa Ahmed, Alyssa Brooke Levine, and John Lithgow. The story centers on

Dr. Louis Creed (Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.

The movie is set to be released on April 5th.
