New release dates: Zombieland 2, Slender Man, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Ah, the good old release date shuffle. It's been a while since I've seen such a massive set of release date changes announced all at once, but here we are today with tons of new release date info. Call it historic if you please.

To kick things off we have word via Deadline that Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Charles Manson adjacent flick ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD has been pushed a few weeks ahead in the 2019 schedule from August 9th, 2019 to July 26th, 2019.

Which kinda sucks because the film's original release date was all to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Sharon Tate’s murder at the hands of Charles Manson’s followers. Oh, well. What can you do?

Moving on, director Sylvain White’s SLENDER MAN moves up two weeks from August 24 to August 10th. This leaves room in the schedule for more horror and it seems John Cho's Laptop-POV found footage thriller SEARCHING will be moving back three weeks and taking the August 24th date SLENDER MAN just crept away from.

Meanwhile, the recently announced ZOMBIELAND 2 has snagged an official release date of October 11, 2019. That works for us! And to wrap all of these shenanigans up, Vin Diesel's BLOODSHOT has been set for February 21, 2020.

See the full list of date changes below:

SLENDER MAN: August 10, 2018

SEARCHING: August 24, 2018

ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD: July 26, 2019

ZOMBIELAND 2: October 11, 2019

BLOODSHOT: February 21, 2020

Did we miss anything there? I hope not. But it probably doesn't matter much anyhow as at least half of the above-mentioned titles will be moved around again (and again) before they inevitably end up streaming on Netflix out of nowhere. Am I kidding? I'm seriously not sure…
