New still from Chernobyl Diaries gets lost in the shadows

Oren Peli-produced CHERNOBYL DIARIES is but a few weeks away from blasting into theaters, so it’s no wonder the folks behind the film are making sure it remains on you radar – even if it’s the smallest of updates. Case in point, the brand new still from the flick, which isn’t too revealing, but keeps up the eerie atmosphere. Check it out below (click the pic for a full-sized version).

The film follows a group of six young tourists who, looking to go off the beaten path, hire an “extreme tour” guide. Ignoring warnings, he takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but a deserted town since the disaster more than 25 years ago. After a brief exploration of the abandoned city, however, the group soon finds themselves stranded, only to discover that they are not alone…

CHERNOBYL DIARIES, directed by Brad Parker, stars Jesse McCartney, Jonathan Sadowski, Olivia Dudley, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal (below), Nathan Phillips, Pasha D. Lychnikoff and Devin Kelley. The movie hits theaters on May 25th.
