It’s been a while since we’ve dished any news on James Wan’s latest paranormal project, THE CONJURING. Okay, it has only been a couple of weeks, but that feels like forever in internet time. Anyhoo, we’ve got a new still from the movie to show off below that is making us ask, like Brad Pitt in SE7EN, “What’s in the box?”

Farmiga’s holding the toy (I’m assuming) music box. She looks terrified. Her is head bleeding. Juxtapose this with the image above of Farmiga looking terrified WITHOUT her head bleeding and, well, I’m clearly just pointing out the obvious. I think we all know it’s haunted or something. No need to drag it out any longer, I guess.

THE CONJURING has a sweet summer release date of July 19th, which seems to suggest Warner Bros believes it could be a counter-programming cash cow. The film stars Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston, and Lilli Taylor. Peep out the picture along with a synopsis below and watch your head…
