New trailer for James DeMonaco’s The Purge: Anarchy, starring Frank Grillo

We now have a full trailer for James DeMonaco's THE PURGE: ANARCHY giving us a much better look at the world of the sequel and which direction they're heading with it. The one thing I was hoping with this sequel was that they would take it away from the isolation of a single home because the premise itself is so much bigger than that, opening up plenty of different options to explore. It looks like THE PURGE: ANARCHY has delivered just that in a much bigger, bloodier sequel. Universal still hasn't released an official synopsis for some reason, but the trailer pretty much tells us everything we need to know. Dig it below!

Returning alongside writer/director/producer James DeMonaco to produce the next chapter of the thriller are Blumhouse Productions’ Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity and Insidious), alongside Sébastien K. Lemercier (Assault on Precinct 13, Four Lovers) and Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay (Pain & Gain, Transformers), Brad Fuller (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Amityville Horror, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th) and Andrew Form (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th, The Amityville Horror, A Nightmare on Elm Street).

THE PURGE: ANARCHY opens on July 18, 2014 and stars Kiele Sanchez, Frank Grillo, Michael K. Williams and Zach Gilford.
