New True Blood season 6 teaser and #ShowYourFangs campaign launch

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

The return of the hit HBO series "True Blood" is right around the corner as season six of the popular vampire show is scheduled to begin airing June 16 on the cable giant and today we have a new promo featuring Arliss Howard as the very anti-vamp Governor Burrell giving a passionate address to his human constituents. Looks like things are about to get real nasty for the vampire community. Check it out below.

If you're a Truebie, it's time to get your 'Fangs Out' as the network is also kicking off a new Twitter/Instagram campaign to get you to #ShowYourFangs.

You are encouraged to Tweet or Instagram a photo of yourself using #ShowYourFangs to tell the world that you stand with the vamps.

Sookie, Eric, Jason, Tara, Lafayette, Pam, Jessica, Alcide, Sam, and Bill return in Season 6 along with the previously announced newbies Rutger Hauer (as a mysterious figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason), "Rubicon"’s Arliss Howard (as Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell), "Friday Night Lights" star Jurnee Smollett-Bell (as do-gooder Nicole), Karolina Wydra (as Violet, a strong, sexy, possibly dangerous vamp), Luke Grimes (as a circa ’70s-made vamp who is smart, spiritual, and emotionally deeper than any other bloodsucker we’ve seen before), and "90210"’s Amelia Rose Blaire (as Howard’s onscreen daughter).

"True Blood" is set to return to HBO on June 16.
