Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Yesterday brought us our latest look at the upcoming season of "American Horror Story: Coven" via a new poster and today we have a bit of casting news for the FX series as Deadline is reporting that newcomer Alexander Dreymon has joined the cast of the witch-themed, New Orleans-set installment of the cable television horror franchise.

Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves. Wrapped up in the turmoil is new arrival, Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), who is harboring a terrifying secret of her own. Alarmed by the recent aggression, Fiona (Jessica Lange), the long-absent Supreme, sweeps back into town, determined to protect the Coven and hell-bent on decimating anyone who gets in her way.

Dreymon will play the handsome young man who moves in next door to the Academy.

"American Horror Story: Coven" will premiere on Wednesday, October 9th at 10pm and stars Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Gabourey Sidibe, Patti LuPone, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, Denis O’Hare, Alexandra Breckenridge, and Jamie Brewer.
