Official trailer for The Asylum’s upcoming theatrical release, #HoldYourBreath

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

I’m fairly sure that #HOLDYOURBREATH is the first time a film’s title has also been its own hashtag, and for that, The Asylum must be commended. The studio best known for enthusiastic cheapies like MEGA PIRANHA and TRANSMORPHERS has certainly made good use of social networking to promote its films in the past (when one of their features is on the Syfy channel, its usually “trending” on Twitter), so this might just be a masterstroke. Especially when you consider it will be their first theatrical release, they’ve got a lot riding on that little #.

Today we have for you the official trailer for #HOLDYOURBREATH, as well as the new poster. I’m shocked that there are no CG-sharks in this, but there is ample Katrina Bowden, so I’m not going to complain.

Opening on OCTOBER 5th, #HOLDYOURBREATH goes like this:
Based on the urban myth that you can breathe in evil spirits when passing cemeteries, #HOLDYOURBREATH follows seven friends embarking on a weekend camping trip who pass a run-down cemetery and find themselves arguing about the legitimacy of the urban myth. When one friend refuses to hold his breath while passing by, he finds himself the unwitting host to a notorious serial killer who jumps from body to body in order to pick off each of the friends one by one.
