Persuasive convo in first clip from the Oren Peli-produced Chernobyl Diaries

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

How do you guys feel about CHERNOBYL DIARIES? Andy gave us a look at the latest one-sheet for the flick a little over 24 hours ago and I’ve got to admit… I’m digging it.

At first I could care less about this project because I haven’t really given in to the Oren Peli hype but I’ve got to say… the trailer was pretty impressive. Needless to say I’m slightly intrigued for CHERNOBYL DIARIES now. Especially after a look at the first clip from the film!

Alright, I’ll be honest… this first clip is actually pretty boring. It’s pretty much just an extended version of the table conversation we see in the trailer before a TV spot for the film. But hey, beggars can’t be choosers right? You can tap the new video by scrolling on down below or heading over to our videos section.

The film follows a group of six young tourists who, looking to go off the beaten path, hire an “extreme tour” guide. Ignoring warnings, he takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but a deserted town since the disaster more than 25 years ago. After a brief exploration of the abandoned city, however, the group soon finds themselves stranded, only to discover that they are not alone…

Starring Jesse McCartney, Jonathan Sadowski, Olivia Dudley (below), Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Nathan Phillips, Pasha D. Lychnikoff and Devin Kelley, CHERNOBYL DIARIES will be hitting theaters on May 25th courtesy of director Bradley Parker.
