Pokémon Go to get spooky for Halloween week

Pokemon Go Halloween

The augmented reality game Pokémon Go took the world by storm when it dropped this July, allowing people who downloaded the app to capture Pokémon in real life as they walked around their neighborhoods and visited special landmarks. Although its mega popularity has waned somewhat, especially since all the kids went back to school, it's still a vital interactive app that is boosting its influence with its first in-game promotion celebrating the week of Halloween!

From October 26th to November 1st, the game will feature doubled candy rewards for every in-game transfer as well as increased frequency of Pokémon on the spookier end of the spectrum: the ghostly Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar, as well as Drowzee, Hypno, and Zubat.

This is encouraging, because it shows that the game's creators are still interested in growing the app, which might lead to them ironing out even more of the kinks and allowing more functionalities that might just help it be the biggest game in the world, if they play their cards right. Also, who doesn't love Halloween? It's time to dust off those apps, folks and catch some spooks!
