Poster debuts for Steven C. Miller’s Submerged, coming November 27th

I am very impressed by the career that director Steven C. Miller is building for himself. After breaking into the world of feature filmmaking, and getting distribution from Dimension, with his low budget DV zombie movie AUTOMATON TRANSFUSION, it took a little while for Miller to get another movie out into the world, but ever since the Syfy premiere of SCREAM OF THE BANSHEE in 2011 he has become quite prolific. 2012 brought THE AGGRESSION SCALE, UNDER THE BED, and SILENT NIGHT. This year he has already shot two movies outside of the horror genre (EXTRACTION and MARAUDERS), and as he gears up to head into production on another film, his thriller SUBMERGED will be reaching theatres in New York and L.A. on November 27th. The movie will be released on VOD platforms on that date as well.

Written by Scott Milam (the MOTHER'S DAY remake) and starring Jonathan Bennett, Rosa Salazar, Mario Van Peebles, and Tim Daly, SUBMERGED tells the following story:

A limousine joyride goes berserk in this breathless, pulse-pounding thriller. Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls) stars as an ex-soldier turned bodyguard hired to protect a young woman. But while cruising with a group of friends one night, their stretch limo is run off the road and underwater by a gang of ruthless kidnappers – who then dive in to finish the job. Suddenly it's sink or swim, as the bodyguard must fight to keep the vehicle from becoming a watery grave.

Sounds like the makings of an intense and entertaining film to me. I'm looking forward to checking it out later this month.

A poster for the release has made its way online, and you can check that out right here, right now:
