Potentially spoilerish Walking Dead image teases iconic moment from comic

Last Updated on July 22, 2021

Earlier this week we gave you a look at this weekends episode of the hit AMC show "The Walking Dead", which has been been rather Governor-centric lately, and today we have a potentially spoilerish image that hints at a massive event from the comic series that we may see coming up on the show.

MTV News brought us this latest image from this Sunday's episode, titled 'Dead Weight', which may or may not hint at some awesomeness to come, but we don't wanna take any chances and ruin the surprise for those of you who are fans of the comic, so this is your last warning, just in case. Don't scroll past this pic of The Governor below unless you want to be tipped off as to what may be coming our way this weekend…

Still here? Ok, here it goes.

Below you will find a sneak peak pic of The Governor (David Morrissey) in a quiet, reflective moment during 'Dead Weight', the episode of "The Walking Dead" broadcast this Sunday, November 24.

But what most interests us, and will interest fans of the comic, is what's next to The Governor in the picture.

The Governor is sitting next to a tank, and for fans of the comic you know what that could mean:

In the comics, Rick and his crew end up leaving the prison after The Governor assaults it with a small army and a tank. It's a huge moment in the comics with several characters dying, including Lori. Obviously it won't be the same on the show since that character died last season, but it does look like there will be an attack on the prison soon with The Governor commanding a tank. It's a moment from the comics many fans have been waiting for ever since the first season, and hopefully the prison attack on the show will be just as devastating as it was in the comics.

A new and scary chapter is unfolding at a camp outside the prison. Will peace be attainable with the addition of new members? A new and scary chapter is unfolding at a camp outside the prison. Will peace be attainable with the addition of new members?

Directed by Jeremy Podeswa, the Curtis Gwinn-penned episode airs Sunday, November 24, 2013 on AMC.
