Remember The Strangers 2? How would you like an update from it’s producer?

So it’s been quite a while since we’ve heard anything regarding THE STRANGERS 2, hasn’t it? Pretty sure the last news we got on this thing was that it was moving forward… but now nothing. What’s the deal yo?!

Well thankfully the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting were wondering the same thing and decided to ask producer Marc D. Evans exactly that during an interview for THE RAVEN. Here’s what Evans had to say:

“Yes. ‘The Strangers 2′. Well, I think that’s been a bit more of a saga than we would have all liked, and it’s a result of companies being sold and moved around and things like that. But the goal is to move that ahead this fall. Relativity and I have a great script that we love and and we’re in the process of putting that together to get it moving.”

And in regards as to whether there is a director already chosen for THE STRANGERS 2: “I can’t say at the moment. I know, but I can’t say. That news will be coming soon, somewhere. We’re very excited to have that move forward and get off the ground. I wish this was the ‘Strangers 3′ at this point, but sometimes things don’t always move at the pace that you’d like.”

Interesting. So it seems things are at least looking up, right? Last we heard Liv Tyler (below) was still geared up to return as well so maybe there’s still some hope for THE STRANGERS 2? One thing is for sure – We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes open for more on the long-awaited project and as soon as we get any updates we’ll pass that shite right along to all of you.
