Rockers vs. ants movie Dead Ant gets January release

Dead Ant Ron Carlson Tom Arnold

It's been fifteen months since we first saw the trailer for writer/director Ron Carlson's DEAD ANT, and now we've finally received the long-awaited update that lets us know when we'll have our chance to watch the movie.

Cinedigm will be giving DEAD ANT a theatrical, VOD, and Digital HD release on January 25, 2019.

Starring Tom Arnold, Sean Astin, Sydney Sweeney, Jake Busey, Leisha Hailey, Rhys Coiro, Danny Woodburn, Michael Horse, and Cameron Richardson, the comedic creature feature has the following synopsis:

'80s hair-metal band Sonic Grave finds themselves living off a power ballad they released nearly 30 years ago. Eager to become relevant again in the modern day, they embark on a road trip to Coachella, where their manager has set them up to reinvent themselves. All they need is a hit song, and what better way to come up with one than to take peyote in Joshua Tree and let the music gods work their magic? But the plan quickly falls apart when the group finds themselves under attack by killer ants… that keep getting bigger!

I was sold on this flick as soon as I heard it was about glam rockers fighting giant ants, so I'm really glad to hear that we only have one more month to wait until it gets released.

DEAD ANT was produced by Carlson, Stephanie Hodos, Mark Hodos, and Matt Luber.
