Sam Jackson finally speaks out about Split’s secret ending

By this point we have all seen SPLIT, right? And if we haven't, I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure someone has already ruined it for you. My condolences. My point is I think it's time we stopped beating around the spoiler bush and just come right out and talk about the secret ending to SPLIT.

But just in case…

SPOILERS

There. I can sleep at night. Moving on.

So we all know that SPLIT was really UNBREAKABLE 2. We heard Shyamalan speak about, and we have heard James McAvoy speak about it… Has Bruce Willis talked about it yet? Hurm… Anyhow, today I have news that Mr. Glass himself Sam Jackson has finally spoken up about all things SPLIT 2.

And they are, as usual, great stories.

How Jackson first find out SPLIT was a secret UNBREAKABLE sequel:

“I got a call and [Shyamalan] said, ‘Call me I wanna talk to you about something.’ And I called him, because I always do when I get a message from him always hoping [it’s Unbreakable 2], and he said, ‘I just did this film called Split, I want you to see it,’ and I was like ‘OK, I’m down with that.’ I had no idea what Split was about or anything else, and he said, ‘We’ll talk after you see it.’ So I went to the arranged screening and I called him immediately and was like, ‘OK dude does this mean what I think it means?’ and he was like, ‘Well first we gotta see how the movie does’. And I think the movie’s done well enough now to merit the ‘OK, let’s put this together.’”

Jackson considers McAvoy’s character a worthy adversary:

“I think he’s an adequate foe for what Bruce’s Unbreakable character is in terms of him being sort of unbreakable too in that kind of way, and me having found now—fuck, that would be two people that Elijah would look at and go, ‘Why are they so this and I’m so this on this end of the spectrum?’ It’s just a matter of breaking my ass out of wherever that mental institution was they had me locked up and let’s get it on, let’s see what happens!”

When asked if he's heard if SPLIT 2 is moving forward:

“I would look at the box office receipts from a film that cost what it cost him to make that movie and the success of that particular film in the form of saying, I think that might move forward.”

So there you have it. Mr Glass speaks.

I don't have to tell you guys the idea of seeing beast-mode McAvoy rumble-fu*k Mr. Glass up and down the stairs is something I look forward to with great glee. I mean, come on, we all know UNBREAKABLE 2 will see Bruce Willis and Mr. Glass joining forces for the greater good.

It is going to happen. Picture it:

Death, destruction, McAvoy beating up (exclusively) women all across Philly. Someone turns to Bruce Willis and says, "What are we going to do? We can't beat him." Long pause. Sad music begins softly rising on the soundtrack, for some reason. Then: Bruce Willis stares solely out into the rain (no doubt) and whispers: "I think I know someone who can help."

Cue us nerds cheering louder than a team of alcoholic frat boys at a Dave Matthews concert.
