Earlier this year, we heard that NIGHT FARE director Julien Seri would next be taking the helm of a serial killer crime thriller titled ANDERSON FALLS, about

a detective who is convinced that his wife's suicide is actually murder. Obsessed with his investigation, Anderson finds out that his wife was the victim of a team of father-and-son serial killers and is forced to break the rules to stop them from killing again.

As the project gears up to go into production in Los Angeles this summer, a pair of actors have joined the cast: FROZEN's Shawn Ashmore and Gary Cole (pictured above) of OFFICE SPACE.

The casting announcement doesn't specify which character Cole will be playing, but it does say that Ashmore will be playing Detective Jeff Anderson, the man on the trail of the father-and-son serial killers.

Ashmore initially struck me as a surprisingly young actor for the part, before I realized that the babyfaced fellow is actually pushing 40. If Ashmore is the detective, could this mean that Cole is the father in the serial killer duo? We can hope...

ANDERSON FALLS was written by Giles Daoust, who is also producing the film with Luke Barnett, Vincent Masciale, and Mike Macari. Catherine Dumonceaux serves as executive producer.

Ashmore co-starred on the TV series Conviction
