Swedish horror film Sensoria acquired by 108 Media

108 Media has picked up the rights to Swedish filmmaker Christian Hallman's psychological horror film SENSORIA for all territories outside of Scandinavia. The company is presenting the film to international buyers at Cannes this week while planning to distribute it in North America later this year. The Scandinavian theatrical release is tentatively scheduled for December.

Produced and directed by Hallman from a screenplay he co-wrote with Måns F.G. Thunberg, SENSORIA stars Lanna Olsson as

Caroline, a woman in her late thirties, who has lost everything and is searching for a new beginning. She moves into an old apartment and starts to realise that she is not as alone as she thought she was.

Every apartment has a past…

One of my favorite horror films of all time, in fact one of my favorite films period, came out of Sweden – in my mind, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN was the undisputed Best Picture of 2008. So just the fact that SENSORIA happens to be a horror film from the same country as LET THE RIGHT ONE IN instantly earns it some extra interest and goodwill from me, and the set-up sounds solid enough. I'm looking forward to checking this one out when 108 Media releases it here.
