Teaser released for feature based on the short Don't Answer the Door

Back in November, we shared indie horror director Dustin Mills' 10 minute short film DON'T ANSWER THE DOOR, a tongue-in-cheek tribute to old school haunted house movies. Written, directed, shot, and edited by Mills, the short centered on a pair of young girls who

get more than they bargained for when they get hired to house sit a local historic landmark. The groundskeeper is creepy, the house is spooky, and there's a visitor knock knock knocking on the door.

The short proved to be so popular that the decision was made to expand the concept into a feature. The feature was just shot this month, but Mills has already cut together a teaser trailer, which can be seen below.

The feature's synopsis:

The Halsey House has a secret. People disappear there, people die there, and this Halloween you'll find out why. Uncover the mystery, face pure evil, but whatever you do...

Don't answer the door.

One of my favorite things about the short was the cinematography, and that cool style has not only obviously been carried over to the feature, but also been kicked up to another level. The imagery on display in this teaser looks awesome. I can't wait to see the full movie.

The teaser warns, DON'T ANSWER THE DOOR is coming this Halloween.
