Terrence Howard joins cast of revenge thriller Prisoners

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Hot damn, this is turning out to be one hell of a cast! PRISONERS had already secured the likes of Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Maria Bello, Melissa Leo, Viola Davis and Paul Dano, and now it has nabbed Terrence Howard, who once found that it is indeed hard out there for a pimp.

Howard’s role is unspecified at the moment, but it’s obvious that he digs the script (by CONTRABAND writer Aaron Guzikowski) and the director, Denis Villeneuve, who was nominated for an Oscar for his foreign language flick INCENDIES.

Here is the synopsis for the thriller: After his six-year-old daughter is kidnapped, a small town carpenter butts heads with a young, brash detective in charge of the investigation. Feeling failed by the law, he captures the man he believes responsible, holding him captive in a desperate attempt to find out what he did with his daughter, whom he’s convinced is still alive.

PRISONERS begins shooting in February, with a fall 2013 release planned.

Maria Bello
