The Bride remake gets a screenwriter in Sarah Conradt

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Back in November, we let you guys know that THE CONJURING screenwriters Chad Hayes and Carey Hayes are attached to produce a remake of the Russian horror flick THE BRIDE.

Today we've learned THE BRIDE remake has snagged itself a screenwriter in the form of Sarah Conradt, who is best known for penning the as-of-yet unproduced screenplays BLACK ICE, ENIGMA, and the Blacklist script DEAD OF WINTER. Lionsgate is producing this remake.

I haven't heard much about the original film from writer-director Svyatoslav Podgayevsky, but judging by the f*cking killer trailer and somehow even better poster (both below) I'm all in for watching the original!

We'll let you know when we hear more.

Synopsis:

A turn-of-the-century bride who returns from the dead to terrify a modern-day bride and her family.

THE BRIDE was released in Russia back in January 2017.
