The circus is back in town with The Return of the Killer Klowns from Outer Space in 3D!

That's right ladies and gents, according to Freddy in Space the circus is coming back to town! THE RETURN OF THE KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE IN 3D!

Now chances are you're a huge fan of KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE. Why? Because that shite is awesome! So when news comes oozing in about a potential sequel, well you can bet I'm going to be here to tell you all about it! Apparently this thing has been floating around for a little while now but today it seems there's some actual confirmation!

You see the guys over at Freddy in Space recently had the chance to chat it up with Grant Cramer, who played 'Mike Tobacco' in the original film. It seems the actor has been running a fan site dedicated to this KILLER KLOWNS sequel, so Freddy in Space wanted to know what the deal was. Check it:

"We have a script and a commitment for all our funding but the money can’t be spent until we have a distribution deal in place so that’s where we are – talking to distributors. As soon as that final piece comes into place we should be pretty much good to go."

Nice! There's even a teaser trailer out for this thing! Now the trailer is actually kind of lame considering it's just text, some shots from the first film and what looks like the logo from Roland Emmerich's 2012 but we'll roll with it anyway! You can find that shite directly below or over in our videos section.

Cramer also mentions in the interview how he's producing along with Ed Chiodo, Stephen Chiodo will be directing a script by Cramer. To check out the rest of the interview, where Cramer talks about what kind of Klowns we'll be seeing in this sequel among other things, head right over HERE.

"Well, I don’t want to say too much about the story at this early juncture but I will say that it is connected to the first movie and my character will be the mentor to the two new young leads that have to try save the world from the Klowns when they return. They're also trying to save themselves because the bad stuff the Klowns do at first gets blamed on them."

Unfortunately I wouldn't get my hopes up on THE RETURN OF THE KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE IN 3D just yet but it's nice to see things shaping up. Here's hoping this thing actually pans out! Of course as soon as we hear more on the project we'll be sure to pass the good word along to all of you!

Extra Tidbit: Which clown is creepier: A 'Killer Klown' from KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE, the clown doll from POLTERGEIST or 'Pennywise' from IT?
