The Last Witch Hunter debuts two new posters, plus more promo images

Vin Diesel loves Facebook, and the Facebook community loves him right back – his official page has been liked by an insanely high number of people. Over 95 million! So it makes a great deal of sense when studios have the actor debut publicity materials himself on his Facebook page, instantly getting them in front of so many eyes. That’s exactly what Diesel has done with two new posters for his latest starring vehicle, THE LAST WITCH HUNTER.

There’s an also an official THE LAST WITCH HUNTER Facebook page that has been posting some nifty promotional images, so I gathered up a handful of them to feature in this article as well.

Directed by Breck Eisner from a screenplay by Cory Goodman, Matt Sazama, and Burk Sharpless, the film tells the following story:

The modern world holds many secrets, but the most astounding secret of all is that witches still live amongst us; vicious supernatural creatures intent on unleashing the Black Death upon the world. Armies of witch hunters battled the unnatural enemy across the globe for centuries, including KAULDER, a valiant warrior who managed to slay the all-powerful QUEEN WITCH, decimating her followers in the process. In the moments right before her death, the QUEEN curses KAULDER with her own immortality, forever separating him from his beloved wife and daughter in the afterlife. Today KAULDER is the only one of his kind remaining, and has spent centuries hunting down rogue witches, all the while yearning for his long-lost loved ones. However, unbeknownst to KAULDER, the QUEEN WITCH is resurrected and seeks revenge on her killer causing an epic battle that will determine the survival of the human race.

Diesel is joined in the cast by Rose Leslie, Elijah Wood, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Rena Owen, Julie Engelbrecht, Joseph Gilgun, and Michael Caine.

I don’t know what the hype level is like among Diesel’s 95 million fans, but I’m really looking forward to checking out THE LAST WITCH HUNTER when it hits theatres on October 23rd.
