The Mortal Instruments tunes up 3 more names: Lena Headey, Jared Harris & Godfrey Gao

Harold Zwart’s adaptation of Cassandra Clare’s popular YA novel THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS kicks off production next month in Toronto, but before it does, the call sheet need be filled out…

And so Variety is reporting that Lena Headey (below), Jared Harris (right) and Godfrey Gao have all tuned in to THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS. Word is Headey will star as Jocelyn Fray, Harris as Hodge Starkweather and Gao as Magnus Bane.

Also starring Lily Collins, Jemima West and Jamie Campbell Bower – THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS is:

Set in contemporary New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray, discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother, Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures.
