The Omen is set for another remake

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

It looks like the miniature Antichrist, Damien, is going to return in yet another remake as Bloody Disgusting reports that Fox is currently working with Platinum Dunes to bring that evil little bastard back to the big screen. If this news holds true, it looks like we'll be seeing little Damien terrorizing not only theaters, but living rooms as well. Last month we reported on Lifetime's "Damien" TV series which is said to focus on Damien as a grown ass man with grown ass man problems. Oh, and being the Antichrist, that too.

1976's THE OMEN was directed by Richard Donner and starred Gregory Peck and Lee Remick as parents who happen to have adopted the devil's own son. How cute.

The 2006 film, THE OMEN, was directed by John Moore and starred Liev Schreiber, Julia Stiles (below) and Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick. It didn't do terrible at the box office, pulling in around $120M, so I suppose there's still some potential in telling this little man's story once again. But do we really want to see it? I'm not so sure.
