The rape-revenge genre gets a supernatural slant with Savaged, new trailer released

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It was almost 11 months ago when we last heard word on Michael Ojeda's supernatural rape and revenge yard SAVAGED, sharing a gore-soaked trailer with you. As the film readies its U.S. premiere at Screamfest we have a new trailer for you to check out below. Although this latest trailer features some questionable (in my opinion) acting and line deliveries, the film itself doesn't look too shabby so I'm certainly interested in seeing more. Hopefully the buzz out of the films Screamfest screening will be positive.

Starring newcomer Amanda Adrienne, Kyle Morris, Willow Hale, Rodney Rowland and Ronnie Gene Blevins:

While travelling across country, Zoe, a lovely deaf mute woman, stumbles on a horrific crime – a gang of rednecks slaughtering two Native American boys. Zoe's brave attempt to save one of the boys seals her fate. She is captured, raped and left for dead. When an Indian shaman finds her clinging to life in a shallow grave he attempts to save her – but something goes horribly wrong. The spirit of an ancient Apache warrior takes host of Zoe's dead body. So now she walks amongst the living, hell-bent on getting revenge. One by one she slaughters the men who brutalized her, while the clock ticks away on her quickly decomposing body.
