The teaser poster for After Earth strands you on an unfamiliar planet called Earth

Just a few days ago, we caught a look at the first trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s futuristic sci-fi epic AFTER EARTH, starring Will and Jaden Smith. Now we’ve got a teaser poster to go along with it, which you can peep below.

As was the case with the trailer, the poster presents an Earth that has become overrun by Mother Nature hundreds of years after Mankind has exited the premises. Can the planet handle the star power of not one but two Smiths? We’ll find out in the summer.

A crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher (Will Smith) stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. Father and son must learn to work together and trust one another if they want any chance of returning home.

AFTER EARTH opens on JUNE 7th.
