This Robocop remake is rolling fast! It already has a release date!

Well folks it seems we’ve been hammered with updates on this dreaded ROBOCOP reboot as of late. I mean first the thing scored a director… then a star… then a distributor… and now we’ve got a release date for this shite! Damn, I guess MGM aren’t messing around with this one!

So when will the next generation of law enforcement be marching into theaters? August 9, 2013, that’s when! Well over a year away folks, so that means plenty of ROBOCOP updates to help get us stoked for this one before it’s release. Will we actually be excited? Only time will tell.

When a good cop gets blown away by some ruthless criminals, innovative scientists and doctors are able to piece him back together as an unstoppable crime-fighting cyborg called “Robocop.”Impervious to bullets and bombs, and equipped with high-tech weaponry, Robocop quickly makes a namefor himself by cleaning up the crime-ridden streets of violence-ravaged Detroit. But despite his new, hardened exterior, Robocop is tormented by scraps of memory of his former life, and relives vivid nightmares of his own death at the hands of the vicious killers. Now he is out to seek more than justice…he wants revenge!

Joel Kinnaman will be playing our robotic hero with Jose Padilha directing a script by Josh Zetumer. I’m sure more ROBOCOP updates will be shooting our way soon and when they do you can bet we’ll be right here telling you about them.
