Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows scores several new stills & a rating!

I’m all for a flick shoveling out the goods but does anyone else feel Tim Burton’s DARK SHADOWS is overdoing it a bit? Maybe they’re compensating for something, huh? Well either way today we’ve got nearly a dozen new shots from the flick for you guys to gawk at!

But that’s not all! We’ve also got an official rating for DARK SHADOWS. Check it: The film has been rated PG-13 for “comic horror violence, sexual content, some drug use, language and smoking.” Come on, are you surprised? Were you expecting an NC-17 rating? Nah, didn’t think so. So suck it up and get scrolling to check out these new stills. Maybe it’ll get that PG-13 taste out of your mouth.

In the year 1752, Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, England to start a new life in America. But even an ocean was not enough to escape the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. Two decades pass and Barnabas has the world at his feet, or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Brouchard. A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive.

Also residing in the manor is Elizabeth’s ne’er-do-well brother, Roger Collins; her rebellious teenage daughter Carolyn Stoddard; and Roger’s precocious 10-year-old son, David Collins. The mystery extends beyond the family, to caretaker Willie Loomis and David’s new nanny, Victoria Winters.

DARK SHADOWS sports a solid cast that includes Johnny Depp, Eva Green (below), Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Jackie Earle Haley, Chloe Moretz, Gulliver McGrath, Bella Heathcote and Jonny Lee Miller. It hits theaters everywhere on May 11th.
